Times Square

Intensely touristy, crowded, fairly frustrating and a little bit retarded, we found our selves in the ultimate tourist destination, Times Square. Definitely not one of our favourite hang out spots, but we simply had to do it; just for good measure ;)

And everyone goes about their day like this isn't strange...

Blue Monday?

These New York folks sure know how to party. Nothing stops them - not weather, work, time, venue, nothing. So we went out at 2am on a Monday and this is what we found.

My Last New York Rambling...

I keep logging onto the blog. Everyday, that's what I have been doing so I can hold onto the memories I made whilst in New York. Solange tweeted the other day "If you don't have girlfriends.... I don't trust you" and I agree with her. Moreover I believe now, more than ever, that sisterhood is really important. I am really blessed to come from a family filled with a lot of women, my sisters and cousins are my best friends, my mother is the woman I hope to become and I have always felt immensely and abundantly blessed when I think that on top of that, the universe still has the generosity to give me amazing girlfriends...
And that after this trip, the universe went and gave me more amazing girlfriends.
I didn't know everyone all that well before we boarded our flights and headed on this trip, but I knew that the trip would be amazing. 9 girls travelling together, each of us with strong and polar opposite personalities, what else could one expect? Laughing, drinking, shouting, hangovers, brunches, Corona's, shopping and dancing, but never, not any stage during the trip; hating on each other or any other women for that matter. This was a trip filled with Love and for the first time as I sit, with my cold weather induced cold, I am able to properly appreciate our blog name and hashtag #LoveWorldTour.  Can't wait till the next installment and to share more memories with this group of amazing and beautiful ladies.

A kicks lover's dream

Flight Club. We walked into that store and immediately wanted to start crying from simultaneous pain and joy. This place has the most fascinating array of kicks available, a dream for the ultimate kicks collector. From the moment we walked in we could hardly close our mouths from the awe we felt looking at the most classic selection of kicks. If you've got some money to spend, a lot of money to spend actually, and some unique kicks to buy - make your way to Flight Club on Greene Street, Soho.

Till next time

I just got back home to Jozi and already missing NY. This trip for me was all about falling in love!
Loving the city and the wonderful women I was lucky enough to share it with. The highlight was getting to know everyone a little better, building on friendships and meeting new friends along the way.

Shout out to the "A team" Bobo, Vie, Thithi, Tumi & Sphume. All love to Fatti, Lera, Young Pam, Tholi & D. A million thank yous to Bobo and Sphume for spearheading. That's right boo we love y'all!

Thanks ladies for the laughs, the drinkies, the eats and all the nights we danced like there was no tomorrow. Looking forward to the Love World Tour in celebration of my 30th

The Stoop Series

You know how we do. Posting up on some stoops in Brooklyn for a young photo shoot...

Lunching, Shopping and Laughing with the Boys

We spent yesterday with the boys who had just come back from an epic trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica. They were flying out of New York back to Johannesburg, so they spent the last day of their holiday here in the city. We spent the day with them lunching at a cosy little restaurant on Spring Street, Soho called Le Petite Cafe. They shared many hilarious stories about their Jamaica trip, and had us in stitches at their colourful tales.
This was also a farewell lunch for Pumla and Thithi who left us yesterday. As the numbers dwindle, the more it becomes a reality that our #LoveWorldTourNY is really reaching its end :-(
After lunch, we did a little bit of shopping in Soho. The boys wanted to get in a bit of last minute shopping, and we just couldn’t resist the opportunity to shop a little bit more (for our friends and family of course! Lol)
We had a very chilled day filled with lots of love and laughter.

The stuff we see on the streets...
