New York is so hot right now its almost impossible not to feel like all you want to do is walk around with see through tops and tiny bottoms. Walking and catching subways as a big group of girls attracts a lot of attention, not only because we are really loud and all we do is laugh, but because we look like a girl band with our braids. People actually do not know what to do with themselves when they see us approaching. The braidy bunch has literally had a million questions from American girls about where we do our hair, with our answer being "South Africa", and the boys on the other hand see the mass arrival of braids as a signifier to say "they aren't from here... let's talk to them."
